My name is Nikki and I started Damsel Designed in 2013. Back then, I was a college student with a love for vintage fashion and all things magic, but I struggled to find a store that carried exactly what I was looking for. I didn't know how to sew, but I was determined to learn, and with the help of my extremely patient husband, I eventually mastered the circle skirt. In 2014, I listed my first 4 skirt designs: 4 circle skirts and 4 sashes with colors reminiscent of the Hogwarts Houses from the Harry Potter series. Since then, it's been an amazing journey of new colors, new fairy tales, and new friends.

At the end of 2019, my husband and I relocated back to Utah after spending a year in Tampa, FL. The move was chaotic and it took me a while to settle in... and then the pandemic happened. Like many of us, I struggled a lot during that time and disappeared from the internet for a while.

Something you may or may not know about me is that I love guided journals. I've never been good at regular journaling... To be honest, I find it a bit boring and I struggle to know what to write about. But guided journals, with prompts and activities- I love them!

Recently, I was inspired to make a few of my own inspired by the magic and stories I love. So far I've made, "What Would Winnie the Pooh Do?", "A Magical Life," (which is all about living your most magical life and healing your inner child,) and "30 Days in Adventureland" inspired by Disney stories/rides from Adventureland. While skirt-making isn't in the cards for me at this time, I hope these journals bring a little magic and whimsy to your daily life!
